Venkata in sankata Kannada movie review

To all those who go to watch the movie just because it has been given 4 stars in TOI, the movie is a big disappointment. Ramesh fails once again after flops like satyavan savitri and accident. The movie is not upto the mark either. You will be waiting for something funny to happen until the climax, but you never get to see a real good comic scene which makes you laugh.

The movie is about a cop Venkata, who saves many people from 6 terrorists in a man single handedly, but his junior Rajaram Laddu takes all the credit somehow, Venkata's work being unnoticed. It happens many more times and Rajaram gets promoted and Venkata gets demoted. Venkata is asked to join a college as a spy to find out the link to underworld in that college. Rest of the story, you have to see in the theater itself, even though there is nothing much to hope for in the movie.

Ramesh is good as an actor. New actors like Devads Kaapikkad, Meghana and Anusha have done justice to their roles. Mukyamantri chandru is also good. Sharmila Mandre is outstanding. But she has got very less time on screen. But the only actor who leaves an impression is M.S.Umesh, who plays the role of Venkata's grandmother. Hats off to him. But I really don't know why there are roles like Umashri's and Venkata's father in law's. The roles are highly irritating and tests your patience.

Some scenes are very silly. The movie is full of poor jokes and silly scenes. Some scenes don't have any logic at all. The director has tried to make each and every scene funny, but he fails to do so. Music by Ricky Kej is also poor. You will be waiting for the songs to end, unlike in many movies.

In total, if you go with family to this movie, you might enjoy it. But if you go with friends, you cant help but keep on commenting on each and every scene.

Birugaali Kannada movie review

The movie is a total disappointment after such a good, superhit music. For all those who go to watch the movie, after listening to the songs and watching some promos, its a waste of time and money. Even though the songs are good, your patience will be tested by the 7 songs in the movie!
Many scenes are very boring in the movie. Its like an achievement to sit till the climax. Harsha, who directed Geleya, fails in this movie horribly. Hachchi is a fisherman, who is lost in the sea when he was a child. He becomes the leader of that small village Besanduru and goes to bangalore to make sure his people are getting paid properly. His mother comes to the same village and starts living there. Some scenes where she feels that her son is in that village itself and a breeze comes out of nowhere, are far from reality. His childhood friend, anju loves him from her childhood itself, but he never realizes it and starts loving a girl in bangalore, whom he never met before. The climax is also unconvincing. The whole story is far from reality. The main plot being the mother finding her son moves in all the directions except that.
Chetan has improved as an actor. Tara and Sitara have done justice to their roles. Its a relief to listen to 3 beautiful songs amidst the movie. Best of the lot is Madhura pisumaatige. Choreography is also excellent. Other hits being Helbide helbide and Hoovina baanadante are also nicely picturised. The jokes are all cheap and you can hardly laugh at them. The comedians in the movie are all irritating. The movie is a disaster. The only highlight of the movie is the actor Kishor, who plays a cop. His jokes are the only ones remaining in your mind when you come out of the movie.
Harsha should have stayed only in the choreography field rather attempting to write a new story and direct it. He fails miserably. Even chetan's looks doesn't help. Its not a surprise even if half the theater becomes empty before the climax!

Junglee Kannada movie review

To all those vijay fans and rangayana raghu fans out there, the movie is a treat. If ganesh is called the golden star, puneet rajkumar is called power star, Vijay is called by a unique name in the title sequence of the movie, which surely makes u laugh in the beginning of the movie itself. The beginning of the movie itself makes you appreciate the cinematography by Satya hegde and the editing. The first half of the movie makes you to laugh each and every moment. The dialogues are so strong and humorous, many of them having hidden meanings! Screenplay by Soori is also good. One of the highlights of the movie is the actress Andrita Ray. She is so glamorous and her acting is also upto the mark.
Junglee Prabhakar meets Gudde narasimha and comes to bangalore with him, wanting to be an actor. Gudde takes him to the don Guruswami to try his best. Junglee falls in love with Padma. Padma's father gets killed by the rival gang and Padma wants Junglee to get out of all these things and to lead a normal life.
The first half is full of fun and flashbacks. Vijay shares a great chemistry with rangayana raghu and both of them excel in acting. But after having enjoyed the movie till intermission, you can't help getting disappointed in the second half, where the movie turns out to be yet another kannada movie, with the same story about the hero getting into the underworld, etc etc. The movie could have been a lot better. There is also an unwanted item song which starts to check your patience. Music by harikrishna is good. Many people watch the movie only after getting attracted by the mass songs like Hale paatre hale kabna and Soap haakkolo mai ujkolo! Yograj bhat has penned down some funny lines for these songs, which are nicely choreographed. Another song by the famous Sonu niggaam- Jayant kaykini duo, Neenendare nannolage is just brilliant. Vijay's 6 pack is portrayed in many songs and sequences. Action by Different Danny is the same as in other movies. Other actors like Kashi, Adi lokesh are also commendable. And Soori's direction is also brilliant. But he could have altered the story a bit. In the end, the things which you are going to remember will be the ones in the first half only.
You can watch the movie to enjoy in the first half totally. Its worth it. You can enjoy it with the popcorn!
